
The 9th Asia-Oceanian Conference of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (AOCPRM 2025), held in conjunction with the 16th Annual Malaysian Rehabilitation Medicine Conference, successfully convened rehabilitation physicians, allied health professionals, researchers and industry experts from across the Asia-Oceanian region and beyond. Under the theme “Future Proofing Rehabilitation: Building Solid Foundations, Embracing Change,” the conference served as a dynamic platform for advancing knowledge, collaboration and innovation in physical and rehabilitation medicine.
AOCPRM 2025 welcomed 1,337 participants from 33 international countries, reflecting its strong global reach and reputation. The scientific programme featured high-impact plenary sessions, symposia and 10 interactive workshops, highlighting emerging research, multidisciplinary care models and cutting-edge rehabilitation technologies. Notably, the conference introduced AI-powered live translation from Chinese to English and a livestream broadcast to China, significantly enhancing accessibility and international engagement.
Beyond the scientific programme, AOCPRM 2025 incorporated meaningful social, cultural and ESG-focused initiatives, including a Tree Planting Ceremony, inclusive PWD activities, wellness sessions and local cultural showcases. Together, these elements created a holistic congress experience that celebrated clinical excellence, inclusivity and community impact while shaping the future of rehabilitation medicine.
